Oaks Cook - Part-Time

Position Summary

Are you passionate about cooking and love the excitement of a ski resort environment? We're seeking an enthusiastic. Cook to join our culinary team and contribute to creating delicious dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of food items, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping, slicing, mixing ingredients, and plating dishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including cleaning equipment, wiping down surfaces, and restocking supplies.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety and prevent accidents.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and a positive team atmosphere.
• Assist with inventory management and food ordering, ensuring that all necessary ingredients are available and properly stored.
• Learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs, including knife techniques, cooking methods, and menu knowledge.
• Contribute to menu development and testing of new dishes.
• Assist with food preparation for special events and banquets.

Qualifications

• Ski or snowboard ability a plus!
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous food service experience is preferred, but not required.
• Passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
