O&M Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Solar O&M Technician to support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of solar power plants. The role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown maintenance to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of solar plant equipment.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of electrical systems, solar PV equipment, and field maintenance activities, along with a strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of solar panels, inverters, cables, electrical panels, and other plant equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per the maintenance schedule.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and mechanical faults in solar plant equipment.
• Monitor plant performance and report any abnormalities or equipment failures.
• Assist in the maintenance of DC and AC systems, HT/LT panels, transformers, and associated electrical equipment.
• Support cleaning, testing, and maintenance activities to ensure optimum plant performance.
• Maintain daily maintenance logs, inspection reports, and breakdown records.
• Follow all electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with the Site Engineer and other team members to complete maintenance activities on time.
• Assist in maintaining tools, equipment, and spare parts required for site maintenance.
• Report technical issues, equipment damage, and safety concerns to the reporting manager.
• Perform other O&M-related activities as assigned by the reporting manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in solar power plant maintenance or a similar electrical maintenance role.
• Basic knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, electrical panels, and cabling.
• Practical experience in preventive maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of DC/AC systems, HT/LT equipment, and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to work at site locations and perform hands-on maintenance activities.
• Good teamwork, discipline, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites, if required.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
