Obstetric Sonographer

We are looking for a highly skilled, professional and compassionate Obstetric Sonographer to join our team. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering a high-quality, personalised experience to our clients, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice, patient care and professionalism.

You will be responsible for performing a variety of pregnancy ultrasound examinations and ensuring that every client receives clear information, appropriate care and a positive experience throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of pregnancy ultrasound examinations, including early reassurance , dating, gender, growth and 4D scans.
• Obtain and produce high-quality ultrasound images and videos in accordance with clinical and professional standards.
• Communicate scan findings clearly and sensitively, ensuring clients understand the purpose and outcome of their examination.
• Maintain accurate, complete and confidential patient records.
• Recognise any findings that may require further assessment and make appropriate referrals or recommendations in line with clinic procedures.
• Provide phlebotomy services for NIPT screening, with appropriate training provided where required.
• Follow all relevant clinical, infection-control, safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming clinical environment.
• Work closely with the clinic management and wider team to provide an excellent and consistent client experience.
• Treat every client with dignity, respect and compassion, maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving the clinic's clinical and service standards.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified and experienced Sonographer with strong knowledge and practical experience in obstetric ultrasound.
• Minimum 2 years' relevant professional experience in a similar ultrasound/sonography role.
• Current registration with an appropriate professional body, such as HCPC, NMC or GMC, or relevant professional membership/registration with BMUS where applicable.
• Strong practical experience in pregnancy ultrasound and confidence in performing a range of obstetric scans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make clients feel comfortable and well supported.
• A professional, reliable and patient-centred approach.
• Ability to work independently while also being an effective member of a small clinical team.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical practice, hygiene, confidentiality and patient safety.
• Previous experience with 4D ultrasound and/or NIPT services would be advantageous.
• Professional references must be available.

Pay: £38,907.88-£62,574.60 per year
