The Part-time Obstetrics Sonographer will display the following skills and qualifications.

Skills:

• Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting scan results.

• Knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately capture images.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform ultrasound examinations on patients in the clinical setting.

• Use ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate scans needed.

• Ensure patient comfort and safety during the scanning process.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures performed.

• Proficient in the process of storing digital images to the ultrasound computer in preparation for the Medical Director.

• Maintains working knowledge of ultrasound methods, principles, and practices.

• Cross trained to work on and drive Mobile Medical Unit.

• Provide all aspects of ultrasound services to patients in-house, over the phone, initial and follow-up appointments.

• Provide timely follow up correspondence with patients.

• Assists in ordering and maintaining medical supplies with regard to the ultrasound area.

Qualifications:

• Pro-Life, Christ follower and believes that the Bible is the inerrant word of God.

• Expresses sincere desire to reach to women in crisis pregnancies, especially to those who are abortion-vulnerable and abortion-minded.

• Maintains a consistent life-affirming philosophy.

• Currently holds a registry license and is in good standing with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

• Has experience in digital media and storage of ultrasound imaging.

• Demonstrates competent knowledge of the care for obstetrical and gynecological patients, and women’s health issues.

• Is dependable, stable, and capable of following through on commitments.

-Must complete the MCWC Volunteer Lay-counselor Training and Orientation.

• Sonography: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• ARRT Certification (Preferred)
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
