ICO/ INTAKE TECHNICIAN

Are you ready to make a positive impact in your community? The Housing Authority of LaSalle County in Ottawa, IL is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time Section 8 - Intake Specialist. You'll enjoy a full-time schedule, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. There is also flex time for appointments, etc.

THE BASICS

This rewarding position offers a starting pay of $18.00 per hour, with the opportunity for growth and advancement. The right candidate will possess skills in some or all of the following:

• Strong math skills
• Proficiency and automated word processing systems
• Excellent people skills
• Review Applications and determine eligibility and preference status
• Complete the admissions verification process: deny and/ or finalize the applicant file
• Determine affordability
• Prepare initial admission documents
• Respond to request for information, questions, and complaints in accordance with department policies
• Issue notices of denial and/or termination of assistance or tenancy
• Respond to the processing of all information in a confidential and professional manner at all times
• Prioritize, coordinate and assure the accuracy of assigned work
• Attend staff meetings, professional seminars, training courses as instructed
• Other duties as assigned

Applicants will be screened with a background check, drug screen, and driving history report.

A valid Drivers License and the ability to lift 20 lbs. is required for this position.
