What they need
Occupational Therapist Roles at Elk Health
Full-time · Community-based
At Elk Health, we support older adults, people living with injury and adults with disability to live fuller lives, in their own homes and communities. We're deliberate about the work we take on, which means your caseload stays realistic and you're set up to actually do it well.
We're growing, and we have two roles to fill:
- New Graduate OT. A supported start to your career, with structured learning, mentorship and a caseload that builds at your pace.
- Experienced OT. Room to bring your skills, take on complexity and grow into senior and specialist areas.
What makes us different
We measure success by client progress, not billable output. Your KPIs reflect the things that actually matter.
We put real effort into our clients and our staff. You'll have the supervision, education and support you need to become a genuinely good therapist, because better therapists mean better outcomes for clients. It's also how we keep the work sustainable and avoid the burnout that pushes too many people out of the profession early.
There's variety if you want it. We work across NDIS, Aged Care, iCare, DVA, CTP and private clients, and if you'd rather build depth in one or two areas that interest you, we can shape your caseload around that too.
What you'll get
- A realistic caseload and a fun, supportive team who genuinely cares
- Regular clinical supervision, both formal and informal
- Elk Ed, our in-house clinical education program, with monthly sessions covering complex cases, peer presentations and in-services from other disciplines
- An established clinical competency program, so you're properly signed off in the skills you need
- Weekly talk time with our lead OT and practice manager, so questions get answered quickly and you're never left figuring things out alone
- Professional development support and genuine flexibility
- Real administrative support, so you won't be drowning in paperwork
- Well-established systems and software that make the clinical work easier, not harder
- Clear areas for growth and development, including senior roles and new areas of practice
- Regular team days and catch-ups, in a small team where you actually know everyone
- Competitive remuneration
About you
You're motivated and you care about your clients. You work well on your own and you're happy as part of a team. Mostly, you want to keep learning and growing as a therapist.
Whichever role fits, if this sounds like your kind of place, we'd love to hear from you. Paediatric OTs after a change of pace are welcome too.
