Occupational Therapist

About the role

As an Occupational Therapist with W&W Health Services, you will work with people with disability and complex support needs, providing practical and person-centred assessments and recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Completing & Submitting Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs)
• Working with NDIS participants
• Developing practical recommendations to support independence and quality of life
• Writing and submitting professional reports
• Working collaboratively with support teams and other professionals
• Supporting clients with complex needs across disability accommodation and community settings
• Advocating for appropriate supports and services based on individual needs

About you

• A recognised Occupational Therapy degree/qualification
• Experience working within the disability sector – highly preferred
• Experience with Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) – highly preferred
• An understanding of the NDIS
• Experience in or with the justice sector
• Experience writing and submitting mental health and/or justice-related reports – highly desirable
• Experience working with people with complex support needs
• Strong written communication and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• A current National Police Clearance
• A current Working With Children Check, where applicable
• A current Australian driver's licence

Pay: $65.00 – $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
