Sandia Sunrise Therapy is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient therapy clinic in Albuquerque. We’re looking for a clinician who enjoys building relationships with children and families and creating therapy that is engaging, functional, and individualized.

Our OT team works with children ages 0–21 across a variety of developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs. Whether you’re an experienced pediatric therapist or a newer clinician looking to grow your skills, we offer mentorship and opportunities to develop your clinical interests.

In This Role, You Will

• Complete occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
• Provide engaging, evidence-based treatment for pediatric patients
• Address functional skills including fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-care, and participation in daily activities
• Establish meaningful goals based on each child’s needs and family priorities
• Provide families with practical strategies and home activities
• Monitor progress and complete evaluations, progress reports, and other required documentation
• Communicate with caregivers and collaborate with other therapy professionals
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging therapy space
• Participate in continuing education and professional development

Qualifications

• Current New Mexico Occupational Therapy license
• NBCOT certification
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
• Pediatric experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to an interdisciplinary team
