Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs.
• Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve motor skills, coordination, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to manage conditions and enhance daily living activities.
• Document patient progress accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
• Adapt therapy techniques based on patient response and evolving clinical guidelines.
• Support occupational health initiatives by promoting safety practices and ergonomic assessments within the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for accurate assessment and intervention planning.
• Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and post-acute care settings.
• Familiarity with occupational health principles and sub-acute care environments is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to develop effective treatment plans for patients recovering from injury or illness across various care settings.
