Location: Adelaide Metropolitan Area
Pay: Health Professionals and Support Services Award

About Holistic In-Home Care

Holistic In-Home Care is a growing community care organisation providing personalised in-home support, nursing and care services across South Australia, Victoria and the Northern Territory.

We work alongside established aged care providers to deliver reliable, high-quality services that help older Australians remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes.

Our approach is centred on dignity, choice, independence and improving quality of life.

As we continue to expand our allied health services, we are seeking passionate and experienced Occupational Therapists to join our Adelaide team.

About the Role

We are looking for Occupational Therapists to provide community-based services to older Australians living independently at home.

You will conduct assessments, identify functional and environmental challenges, and recommend practical solutions that promote safety, mobility, independence and wellbeing.

This role offers flexibility to manage your availability and caseload while working collaboratively with our nursing team, care coordinators and referring aged care providers.

Whether you're looking to supplement your existing workload or build a regular community caseload, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments in clients’ homes and community settings.
  • Develop personalised therapy plans based on clients’ needs and goals.
  • Support clients to maintain or improve independence in daily activities.
  • Recommend appropriate assistive equipment and home modifications where needed.
  • Provide practical strategies to improve safety, mobility and participation at home.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, support workers and other health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes, reports and client documentation.

About You

We are seeking a compassionate, organised and motivated Occupational Therapist who enjoys working independently in the community.

You will have strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in helping older Australians maintain their independence.

You will be confident managing your own appointments, completing assessments and providing practical, evidence-informed recommendations.

Previous experience in community aged care, home modifications, assistive technology or falls prevention will be highly regarded.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current Police Check
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in clients’ homes and community settings.

What We Offer

  • Flexible casual hours with the opportunity to build towards part-time work.
  • Home and community-based work with a varied client base.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients’ everyday lives.
  • Variety in your work, with autonomy and flexibility in service delivery.
