Occupational Therapist

Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Occupational Therapist and make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives by helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs across diverse settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, schools, home health, skilled nursing facilities, and post-acute care environments. Your expertise will support individuals of all ages—from pediatrics to adult.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop tailored treatment plans that align with their goals and medical needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions in various settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, or home health visits.
• Coordinate discharge planning by preparing detailed care plans and collaborating with case management teams to ensure smooth transitions across care settings.
• Manage case documentation accurately and maintain detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review patient progress and adjust therapy strategies accordingly.
• Support early intervention programs for children by providing specialized therapies that foster development during critical growth periods.
• Contribute to occupational health initiatives within workplace settings by assessing ergonomic needs and designing injury prevention strategies.
• Engage in skilled nursing facility or post-acute care environments to optimize recovery processes for patients recovering from surgeries or injuries.

Requirements

• Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the respective region or country.
• Proven experience working in acute care settings such as ICU or hospital inpatient units is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health services, or school-based programs is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and case management principles.
• Demonstrated ability to assist patients with ADLs and develop effective discharge plans tailored to individual needs.
• Experience working with diverse populations including children (pediatrics), adults (geriatrics), individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
• Familiarity with speech therapy principles is a plus for integrated patient care approaches.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and engaging with patients of all ages.
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques across various environments such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, schools, or community settings. Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
