Occupational Therapist | Acute

Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) has an immediate relief full-time Occupational Therapist opening. This position works Monday to Friday from 08:00-16:00 and is expected to run until JULY 2026 or the return of the current incumbent. This position supports acute care and the rehabilitation unit. Driving a personal vehicle on mileage may be required.

About The Position An Occupational Therapist plays a crucial part in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to patients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. You will provide work direction to the Rehabilitation Assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regard to transfer of function.

About the location: KGH is a tertiary referral hospital and offers high-level, specialty medical care including 24 hour emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic/paramedical services. Specialty services include adult and adolescent psychiatry, outpatient nutrition, patient care quality officers, and cardiac surgery.
