Occupational Therapist (Per Diem)

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Occupational Therapist (Per Diem) to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem Hospital . Harlem Hospital is the largest hospital in Central Harlem and the only Safety Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan. Opportunity Details

• The Department is part of a 280-bed acute care facility that includes the ICU, BICU, NICU, PICU, CCU, step-down floors, and ambulatory services.
• Treats patients on the acute and/or ambulatory services.
• Assists with maintaining treatment equipment and ensuring a safe environment for the patients.
• Maintains accurate record of patient evaluations, progress, recommendations, and goals.
• Supervises student interns and volunteers as assigned.
• Assists the supervisor or chief in preparing daily stats.
• Participates in the clinical education program for student therapists by mentoring a student intern.
• Educates patient and/or family regarding the occupational therapy aspects of diagnosis, treatment plan, and prognosis in an appropriate manner.
