Occupational Therapist (School Based)

About us

Optimal Therapy Associates Services is a well established provider of Occupational and Physical Therapy services in the WNY schools. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate School Based Occupational Therapist to join ourteam!

Duties

• Assess patients to determine appropriate treatment plans
• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs to improve patients' functional abilities
• Provide therapy sessions to patients, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions
• Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing their conditions and promoting independence
• Supervision of COTA

Experience

• Specialization or experience in pediatrics is preferred, but will train
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy practice

Requirements:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in New York
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
