Duties

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and mobility to foster independence and improve quality of life
• Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans designed by licensed occupational therapists, ensuring consistency and progress tracking
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize therapy outcomes for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or geriatrics
• Facilitate pediatric occupational therapy sessions focused on childhood developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder interventions
• Conduct patient transport within healthcare facilities safely using manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols
• Document care activities accurately in care records, maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and regulations
• Assist with medical imaging procedures when necessary and understand relevant medical terminology to support multidisciplinary teams

Experience

• Prior experience working in acute care settings such as hospitals or skilled nursing facilities is highly desirable
• Proven background in outpatient or clinic environments specializing in pediatric occupational therapy or adult rehabilitation
• Hands-on experience supporting clients with neurodevelopmental delays, disabilities, or geriatrics in inpatient or home health contexts
• Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to effectively support treatment plan implementation and patient care strategies
• Familiarity with occupational health practices and working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Strong caregiver and client communication skills to educate families and support ongoing therapy outside clinical settings
• Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other neurodevelopmental conditions enhances your ability to provide tailored interventions
