Occupational/Physical Therapist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational or Physical Therapist who specializes in hand therapy to join our team. If you have your CHT or are working towards it, this job is for you! This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a hand surgeon as well.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing therapeutic care to individuals with various upper extremity needs. This role involves working in an outpatient clinic setting, focusing on case management and individualized treatment plans to enhance the quality of life for our clients.

Duties

• Assess patients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans based on their specific conditions and goals.
• Provide therapy sessions aimed at improving patients' abilities to perform daily activities and regain normal function.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options and strategies for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Experience

• A degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient assessment.
• Experience working with patients with various hand, wrist, and elbow injuries.
• Familiarity with case management practices within healthcare settings is advantageous.
• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of splint making is required.
• Experience with an EMR system is required.
