OCI Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Developer with 5+ years of experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The candidate should have strong programming skills and hands-on experience with OCI services, REST APIs, serverless applications, databases, and cloud application deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Develop backend services, REST APIs, and microservices using Java, Python, or other suitable programming languages.
• Develop serverless applications using OCI Functions.
• Design and integrate APIs using OCI API Gateway.

• Work with Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Database, and other relational databases.
• Use OCI Object Storage for application data and file storage.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).
• Integrate applications with OCI services using REST APIs and Oracle Cloud SDKs.
• Implement access controls, authentication, and authorization using OCI IAM.
• Manage application secrets and credentials using OCI Vault and Secret Management.
• Monitor applications, troubleshoot errors, and resolve production issues.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using OCI DevOps or similar tools.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, technical documentation, and Agile development activities.

Good to Have

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Developer Professional certification
• Experience with Oracle Cloud SDKs and OCI CLI
• Experience with event-driven applications and messaging services
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and secure API development
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Exposure to monitoring, application performance optimization, and cloud security

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications on OCI.
• Good understanding of APIs, databases, cloud security, and application architecture.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
