Oculoplastic Medical Assistant

Part-Time Medical Assistant (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday's, shift varies from 7:15am-5pm)

The Mack Center is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our growing practice in Tampa, Florida. We are looking for a personable, dependable, and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask efficiently, and works well collaboratively with physicians, patients, and staff. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Experience with Athena Health is a plus. Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish-speaking, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Escorting patients to exam rooms and obtaining medical history and vision information
• Explaining pre- and post-treatment instructions clearly and professionally
• Obtaining patient consents and documenting visits through scribing
• Performing visual field testing and taking before-and-after patient photographs
• Assisting physicians during injections and office procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining proper instrument setup
• Following proper cleaning and sterilization protocols
• Scheduling appointments, answering phones, and assisting with front office responsibilities as needed
• Completing delegated clinical and administrative tasks efficiently and professionally

Qualifications:

• Previous medical assistant experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience in ophthalmology, facial aesthetics, plastics, or dermatology is a plus

Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience

Location: Tampa, Florida 33609; Clearwater, Florida 33756; Lakeland, Florida 33805;

* This position is for Lakeland and Clearwater offices, as well as Tampa, and requires travel back and forth. Mileage will be paid.*
