OFCI Manager

We are seeking an experienced OFCI Manager to act as an Owner’s Representative on our major hyperscale Data Centre in Portugal. The successful candidate will oversee all Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment packages, ensuring seamless integration across design, procurement, logistics, installation, and Commissioning.

This role requires deep familiarity with Hyperscale environments, strong vendor‑management capability, and the ability to safeguard the client’s interests across all phases of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

OFCI Package Management

• Oversee end‑to‑end OFCI equipment lifecycle: procurement, Factory Witness Testing, logistics, delivery sequencing, installation readiness, and Commissioning.
• Ensure all OFCI equipment aligns with design intent, technical specifications, and hyperscale client standards and programme.
• Track equipment status, lead times, and risk items; escalate issues proactively.

Owner’s Representative Duties

• Act as the client’s on‑site technical representative, ensuring quality, compliance, and programme alignment.
• Coordinate with general contractors, OEMs, Commissioning agents, and design teams to ensure OFCI integration is executed flawlessly.
• Provide structured reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and Commissioning readiness.

Technical & Commissioning Oversight

• Support Commissioning teams with equipment validation, energisation readiness, and functional testing.
• Review method statements, installation plans, and Commissioning scripts for OFCI equipment.
• Ensure all documentation (O&M manuals, test reports, redlines, as‑built data) is delivered to client standards.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

• Manage communication between OEMs, integrators, and construction teams to maintain alignment on schedule and scope.
• Lead coordination meetings for OFCI packages, resolving clashes and ensuring timely installation.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors while protecting the client’s commercial and technical interests.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience delivering Hyperscale Data Centre projects in an OFCI, Commissioning, or integration‑focused role.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, critical infrastructure, and commissioning workflows.
• Experience managing OEMs and complex equipment packages (UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, BMS/EPMS, etc.).
• Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Portugal within a structured rotation model (EU passport or permit in place)
• Highly organised, detail‑driven, and comfortable leading in fast‑paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience acting as an Owner’s Representative or client‑side consultant.
• Familiarity with Hyperscale client standards and global Data Centre delivery frameworks.
