In this role, you’ll be the friendly face guiding customers through our extensive selection of wines, spirits, and beers, ensuring they find exactly what they need while enjoying a seamless shopping experience. Your proactive attitude and product knowledge will help drive sales, promote responsible alcohol purchasing, and contribute to the overall success of our store. Our off licence has been opened since June and this position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills in our new off licence.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with selecting products based on their preferences and needs
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, handling cash and credit card transactions
• Conduct product demonstrations and tastings to educate customers about new or featured items
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized
• Handle stock replenishment, inventory checks, and accurate stock counting using basic math skills
• Ensure that the off licence is clean, tidy and well presented
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience

Requirements

• Previous off licence / bar experience essential
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions
• Knowledge of alcohol regulations and responsible selling practices is a plus
• Ability to perform merchandising tasks, stocking duties, and product demos confidently
• A friendly demeanor combined with strong organizational skills to ensure smooth store operations

Pay: £13.00 per hour
