Offensive Security Engineer (Red Team)

For our client, we are seeking a Offensive Security Engineer (Red Team) to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will focus on proactive offensive security work that helps strengthen cloud defenses, uncover attack paths, and validate real-world resilience. You will plan and run adversary simulations across modern cloud environments, partnering closely with blue team and response functions to improve detection and response. The position also calls for strong communication and reporting skills so technical findings can be translated into actionable guidance for stakeholders.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $146,000 – $190,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute red team operations and adversary simulations for cloud environments
• Evaluate the security of cloud infrastructure, identity architectures, and CI/CD pipelines
• Identify attack paths involving IAM misconfigurations and insecure automation
• Assess detection and response capabilities by working with blue team functions
• Track emerging attacker techniques and cloud exploitation trends

Qualifications

• 5+ years in offensive security, red teaming, penetration testing, and detection validation
• Knowledge of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures, with mapping experience to frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK
• Strong report writing skills for actionable insights
• Ability to communicate technical issues to various stakeholders
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, GXPN, GPEN, or cloud security certifications
