Office Admin / Bookkeeper

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated, software-savvy person to look after our office administration and bookkeeping in our small manufacturing and e-commerce business in Geebung. This is a casual position offering 15-20 hours per week over an agreed number of days, which could be 2-3 full days, or the equivalent spread across school-hours days for the right candidate. Our preferred days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, but we are flexible.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain records across ordering, receiving, sales, dispatch, accounts receivable, accounts payable and expense tracking
• Accurately input and maintain data
• Reconcile Shopify inventory with Xero
• Use Zoho Inventory to track steel stock we store and ship on behalf of a client, including recording receipts, despatches and stock on hand
• Work closely with external accountants, who supervise our balance sheet accounts
• Handle overflow inbound customer calls when needed

About you

• Minimum 5 years' clerical and/or bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Xero and Excel
• Experience with MYOB, Shopify or Zoho Inventory would be an advantage
• Software savvy: you pick up new software easily
• Fast learner: you can take the initial training and keep learning on the job, with support
• Strong organisational skills and accuracy
• Able to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks
