Position Overview:

We're looking for an energetic, personable administrative assistant to join our growing, tight-knit team. This is a hands-on, in-office role where you'll handle reception, admin tasks, sales assistance and bookkeeping responsibilities.

We're a fast-paced team that thrives on collaboration and enjoys coming into the office. If you're early in your career, love being around people, want to build practical office skills in a social work environment, and strive with ambition - this could be perfect for you.

As part of the this role you will:

  • Be the friendly voice of the office – answering phones and directing calls to appropriate team members
  • Support the sales team with administrative tasks including developing skills using Hubspot
  • Process invoices, receipts, reconcile and code transactions
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintain financial records
  • Manage office supplies inventory and coordinate with suppliers
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for staff when required
  • Manage software and hardware provisioning as part of the onboarding/offboarding process
  • Maintain essential administrative functions that support overall business operations
  • Jump in wherever needed – no task is too small

About Amplify:

Amplify is an online platform that primary schools use to deliver the compulsory performing arts curriculum. We believe that no student should miss out on the intrinsic benefits of learning the arts at primary school and using technology is the only way to make it accessible and equitable for all. Our mission is to upskill and support primary school teachers to teach fun, engaging and enriching lessons that meet all curriculum outcomes, by giving them the tools they need delivered through state-of-the-art content and technology.

Whilst we have only been in the market in Australia for four years, we are growing fast and are already being used in over 1200 primary schools predominantly in the public and catholic sectors. We are also in the early stages of international expansion.

Our Core Values are the backbone of our business and guide our hiring process. We give a sh*t, we are memorable, we all have a love of learning, we are always adding value and we are ahead of the game. To be successful in the role, we must be aligned.

What's required for this role:

  • Outgoing personality and great communication skills – you're someone people enjoy working with
  • Energetic and proactive – you see what needs doing and just do it
  • Someone who approaches tasks with a pragmatic, research-driven mindset and can present multiple options for simplified decision making
  • Quick learner who's comfortable figuring things out
  • Good with computers and software systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player who thrives in a social, collaborative office environment
  • An enthusiastic approach to the work day

Education and Experience:

This is an entry-level position, but we're looking for someone with some exposure to administration – even if it's just from a previous admin role, TAFE course, or similar.

If you've worked in hospitality, retail, reception, or office environments, you're likely comfortable with varied tasks and interacting with people. We're looking for someone who's personable with admin-oriented skills. We value attitude, pragmatism, and potential over extensive experience.

Physical Requirements:

This is an in-office role.

Our office is located in Surry Hills (Sydney) in very close proximity to public transport (train, bus, light rail) and surrounded by awesome cafes and places to eat.

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on the computer and talking on the phone. There may be errands that need to be completed outside of the office with most being able to be done on foot or by Uber/Taxi.

Get in touch!

If this sounds like the role for you please send a short cover letter to [email protected]

Your letter should make note of any previous exposure to admin tasks, even if basic.
