What they need
At Equinox IT we provide you with variety, challenging work and opportunities to accelerate your career. You will work with a highly experienced, multi-skilled and effective consulting team.
We are searching for an Office Administrator to join our central Wellington office. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys customer service, technically savvy with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
Who are we?
Equinox IT is about putting people first, being open and honest, sharing our knowledge and making a difference. We pride ourselves on being able to take good care of our people.
We are a New Zealand-owned technical IT consultancy with the expertise of the big guys, but with the attitude of a local IT consultancy. We provide expert IT advice, cloud and technology delivery and training – right-sized for NZ conditions and grounded in our practitioner experience. We have over 50 people spread across our Wellington and Auckland offices.
The role
As our Office Administrator, your responsibilities will include (but by no means limited to):
- Manage reception and provide a professional first point of contact for visitors and callers.
- Oversee day-to-day office operations including mail, couriers, supplies and facilities.
- Maintain meeting rooms, shared spaces, kitchens, and office presentation standards.
- Manage office resources including equipment, marketing materials, and presentation tools.
- Maintain office supplies, stationery, and refreshments.
- Co-ordinate building maintenance and liaise with building management.
- Maintain office security processes including swipe card access.
- Maintain administration documentation including supplier lists and procedures.
What we are looking for
- Someone who won't just 'fit' our company culture, but someone who will add to it.
- Impeccable communication, you are the first impression people get so an ability to articulate, both written and verbal, is essential.
- A strong sense of urgency; you will be all things to all people and some tasks will require a quick turn-around time.
- Outstanding attention to detail. As you're frontline, we're going to be relying on you to make sure we've dotted our 'I's and crossed our 'T's.
- Someone technically savvy and is mindful of budget constraints.
- Strong sense of initiative, who is able to keep themselves busy when there is the odd bit of downtime.
- Ability to learn new skills and systems quickly
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite.
In return for your skills and culture value-add, we will offer you a genuinely amazing group of people to work with and learn from, and who will appreciate all the little things you do.
Equinox IT is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for everyone who works for us and with us.
We have quite an extensive Position Description available so please do get in touch.
Note for Non-New Zealand residents:
Whilst we welcome all applications, only those who are eligible to work without visa sponsorship and in Wellington to attend interviews will be considered for this role.
