Job Description

1upHealth is seeking a detail-oriented Healthcare Data Analyst to support healthcare data analysis, reporting, and data quality initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with healthcare datasets, and the ability to translate complex information into meaningful insights that support business and operational decisions.

The Healthcare Data Analyst will analyze healthcare data, validate records, prepare reports, identify trends, and collaborate with technical and business teams. This role supports accurate data exchange, reliable reporting, and improved understanding of healthcare information while following applicable privacy and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze healthcare datasets to identify trends, patterns, and data quality issues.
• Prepare dashboards, reports, and summaries for internal stakeholders.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Use SQL and spreadsheet tools to query, organize, and analyze information.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams on data-related projects.
• Investigate discrepancies and document findings and recommendations.
• Support data quality monitoring and reporting processes.
• Maintain clear documentation of analytical methods and business requirements.
• Handle protected health information in accordance with applicable privacy and security policies.
• Recommend improvements to data workflows and reporting efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Healthcare Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
• Proficiency in SQL and spreadsheet applications.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of healthcare data standards, such as FHIR or HL7, is beneficial.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security requirements is preferred.
• Ability to explain technical findings to nontechnical stakeholders.
