Office Assistant

We help craft food and beverage producers compete in the global market by supplying high-quality equipment and expert support. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented Office Assistant to help provide an outstanding customer experience and ensure our products move efficiently and accurately from suppliers to our customers.

Key Duties:

• Answering incoming telephone calls for sales and service, accurately record the caller’s information.
• Entering online sales that come through Shopify (via the company website)
• Intermittently assist shipping and receiving with pulling sales orders, packaging them, and making sure that all ordered components are included.
• Ensuring that ordered items have cleared customs, and if not, resolving the delay as quickly as possible.
• Contacting customers if there is an issue that may significantly delay the delivery of their order
• Providing exceptional customer service to new and existing customers
• Finding ways in which the business process can run more smoothly and creating practical solutions to facilitate a better work environment
• Helping to organize and catalog the warehouse stock

Requirements:

• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Experience with inventory or accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Business-level proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Post secondary diploma or degree in Business Management, Accounting, Marketing or a similar business focus.

Assets:

• Prior experience in a dynamic workplace, particularly small businesses
• Prior experience in a business or office setting
• Mechanical aptitude or experience with industrial equipment
• Prior experience in dealing with couriers, customs brokers and freight companies.
