Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties across office spaces, restrooms, break areas, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols for storage, usage, and disposal to ensure a hazard-free environment
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain pristine floors and surfaces
• Conduct sanitation procedures including trash removal, dusting, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces to promote hygiene
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs to keep facilities in optimal condition
• Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy cleaning equipment or supplies to prevent injury
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any facility issues or safety concerns promptly

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
• Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and steam cleaners
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and visitors
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and basic repair skills is a plus
• Prior experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles is advantageous for success in this position

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
