Office Engineer

J.V Angeles Construction Corporation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Engineer to join our growing team in Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position based on-site, playing a crucial role in supporting the engineering and administrative functions of our construction projects. As an Office Engineer, you will bridge the gap between field operations and office management, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role is essential to maintaining the quality, timeline, and financial integrity of our construction operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including plans, specifications, drawings, and technical reports
• Monitor project schedules, budgets and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
• Conduct site inspections and document progress, identifying any deviations from plans or specifications
• Liaise between the site team and office management, ensuring clear communication regarding project status and requirements
• Assist in the preparation of quotations, tender documents, and contract specifications
• Maintain accurate records of project correspondence, permits, and regulatory compliance documentation
• Support the coordination of materials, equipment and labour to optimise project efficiency
• Assist in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Prepare progress reports and update project management systems with relevant data
• Support health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance on all projects

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Professional Engineering License (PRC) or equivalent qualification is required or preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in construction, project management or site engineering roles
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes applicable to the Philippines
• Proficiency in relevant software including AutoCAD, MS Office and project management tools
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documents
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions
• Willingness to visit project sites regularly and adapt to changing project requirements
