What they need
Office Manager | West End | Legal 500 & Spears Ranked Law Firm
Are you an experienced Office Manager with a background in the legal sector, looking to take ownership of a varied and hands-on role within a highly regarded London law firm? This is an excellent opportunity to join an established practice with a strong reputation, a collaborative culture and a genuine appreciation for the people who keep the business running smoothly.
The Firm
This firm is one of London's most respected names, with an outstanding reputation across multiple practice areas. Ranked in both the Legal 500 and Spears, the firm has nearly doubled in size over the past five years through strategic growth, exceptional talent and a consistent influx of high-quality work.
Known for its friendly, supportive and entrepreneurial environment, the firm places real emphasis on teamwork and long-term development. You'll be joining a growing business where people are approachable, contributions are recognised and there is scope to make a meaningful impact on the way the office operates.
The firm is now looking to appoint an experienced Office Manager to oversee its office operations, support its people and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
The Role
This is a broad and varied position encompassing office management, compliance and the coordination of essential business support functions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the reception, office administration and reprographics teams.
- Managing office health and safety and compliance requirements.
- Coordinating office moves and workspace arrangements.
- Supporting IT setups for new starters and existing employees.
- Liaising with internal and external IT support to resolve day-to-day issues.
- Overseeing the smooth running of daily office operations.
- Reviewing office procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Acting as an approachable point of contact for colleagues across the firm.
- Taking a hands-on approach to resolving issues and supporting the wider business.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are necessarily the same. You'll need to be comfortable moving between strategic oversight and practical tasks, taking ownership of issues as they arise and adapting to the changing needs of the office.
Just as importantly, you'll be an approachable and visible presence within the firm. Colleagues should feel comfortable coming to you for help, advice and support, making strong interpersonal skills and a practical, solutions-focused attitude essential.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Office Manager or similar office operations role within a law firm.
- A sound understanding of office compliance, particularly health and safety and related operational requirements within a legal environment.
- Experience overseeing office support functions, ideally including reception, administration and reprographics.
- A hands-on and adaptable approach, with the confidence to take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities and get involved wherever needed.
- Comfortable coordinating basic IT setups, internal office moves and liaising with internal and external IT support.
- Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- An approachable, proactive and people-focused management style, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the firm.
- A forward-thinking attitude, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and keep office operations running efficiently.
This is a full-time, predominantly office-based position in the West End, with a preference for five days per week in the office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Office Manager with a legal sector background to join a highly regarded London law firm and take responsibility for a varied, people-focused role at the heart of the business.
