We’re working with a boutique international recruitment business that’s growing and looking for an organised, proactive and personable Office Manager to join its team.

This is a brand-new position, offering the opportunity to shape the role, introduce ideas and take ownership of the day-to-day running of the office, with plenty of support, training and opportunities to develop your career.

You’ll be joining a small, agile team where people work collaboratively, ideas are encouraged, and your contribution will genuinely make a difference.

💼 What’s on offer?

  • £38,000 salary , flexible depending on experience
  • Hybrid working: Mondays working from home, Tuesday to Friday office-based (possible Wednesdays from home too) - Office is based near Liverpool Street Station, London.
  • Working hours: 8am–4pm or 9-5pm
  • A brand-new role with scope to make it your own
  • A supportive, professional and friendly working environment
  • Career development, training and opportunities to grow with the business
  • Team socials, incentives and a positive workplace culture

🎯 The role

You’ll be at the heart of the business, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while helping the team work efficiently and enjoy a well-organised, welcoming workplace.

Your responsibilities will include:

🏢 Office & Facilities Management

  • Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the office, including facilities, maintenance, security, supplies and equipment.
  • Liaise with building management, landlords, contractors and service providers.
  • Manage office budgets, supplier contracts and renewals, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and value for money.

💻 IT & Supplier Management

  • Coordinate external IT support and assist with system improvements and operational projects.
  • Build strong supplier relationships, compare costs, negotiate contracts and ensure services meet agreed standards.

🛡️ Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Help maintain workplace health and safety standards, risk assessments, policies and records.
  • Coordinate relevant training, audits, safety briefings and fire safety/first-aid arrangements.

👥 HR & Administration

  • Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate probation and performance review reminders, compliance requirements and benefits administration.
  • Support recruitment logistics, including interview scheduling and candidate coordination.

🎉 Team Culture & Events

  • Organise team socials, celebrations, internal events and employee engagement activities.
  • Coordinate conference attendance, registrations and travel arrangements.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and enjoyable working environment.

⚙️ Business Operations

  • Support projects that improve internal processes, systems and overall business efficiency.
  • Proactively identify ways to make the office and wider business run even better.

👀 Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in being organised, enjoys taking ownership and gets satisfaction from making things happen.

You’ll ideally have:

  • At least 1–2 years’ experience in office management, office coordination or a similar operational/administrative role .
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confident communication skills and a friendly, professional approach.
  • The initiative to work independently, anticipate needs and solve problems before they escalate.
  • Experience managing suppliers, coordinating services and negotiating costs.
  • Confidence with IT systems and basic troubleshooting.
  • HR administration and health and safety experience would be beneficial, but are not essential.

Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, approachable and comfortable working in a small, fast-moving business where no two days are necessarily the same.

🌟 Why consider this opportunity?

This is more than a traditional Office Manager position. It’s an opportunity to become a key part of a growing international business, take ownership of a varied role, influence how things are done and develop alongside a supportive team.

If you’re looking for your next step in office management and want a role where your ideas are valued and your contribution is visible, we’d love to hear from you.
