Office Receptionist/ Dog Kennel Technicion

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Office Receptionist and Dog Kennel Technician to join our vibrant pet care team. This dual-role position combines front desk responsibilities with hands-on animal care, providing a welcoming experience for clients while ensuring the well-being of our furry guests. Responsibilities

• Greet clients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries with enthusiasm
• Manage appointment scheduling, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently to ensure smooth daily operations
• Handle pet drop-offs and pick-ups, ensuring proper documentation and communication with pet owners
• Assist with pet sitting duties, including feeding, administering medications, and monitoring pets’ behavior
• Maintain cleanliness of the reception area and pet kennels by performing regular sanitization and organization tasks
• Support kennel operations by handling animal restraint, dog handling, and animal care routines
• Assist with pet grooming, pet boarding, and outdoor activities to ensure pets are comfortable and well-cared-for

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is a plus
• Experience in pet sitting, kennel management, or animal handling is a plus
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior management is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when handling large or multiple animals
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeaner
• Outdoor work experience beneficial for supervising outdoor play areas and walks
• Ability to maintain a clean environment through pet care facility sanitization practices
