Sathre-Bergquist, Inc. is seeking an experienced Survey Drafting Technician/Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) to join our team in Plymouth, Minnesota. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality survey documents and enjoys working collaboratively with field crews, engineers, and other team members.

What You'll Do

• Process, review, and prepare topographic survey drawings.
• Prepare preliminary and final plats for residential and commercial developments.
• Draft easements, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and boundary surveys.
• Review field data and interpret legal descriptions, property boundaries, and survey records.
• Prepare detailed survey drawings and documentation to meet client and project requirements.
• Coordinate with field survey crews to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain high standards of drafting quality, organization, and technical accuracy.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of experience as a Survey Drafting Technician/Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT)
• Proficiency in topographic surveys and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Experience preparing preliminary and final plats.
• Knowledge of land surveying principles, boundary interpretation, and legal descriptions.
• Understanding field surveying methods and land and building surveys.
• Experience preparing and reviewing survey documents.
• Working knowledge of surveying software, with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification.
