Job description:

Your Impact

As the Bulk Commodity Officer, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the reliable supply of operationally essential commodities across Newmont's Australian operations. By coordinating forecasting, replenishment, logistics scheduling and inventory management, you'll help minimise supply risk, support operational continuity and ensure critical materials are available when and where they are needed. Working across multiple sites and stakeholders, you'll contribute to safe, efficient and cost-effective supply chain outcomes.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

  • Coordinate forecasting, replenishment, scheduling and inventory management activities for critical bulk commodities across Newmont's Australian operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, usage trends, forecasts, telemetry data and delivery schedules to proactively identify and mitigate supply risks.
  • Partner with suppliers, logistics providers, site teams and warehouses to maintain delivery performance and continuity of supply.
  • Manage consignment and vendor-held stock processes, including month-end reconciliation, settlement activities and discrepancy resolution in collaboration with procurement and accounts payable
  • Drive continuous improvement through reporting, supplier performance reviews, inventory optimisation and supply chain improvement initiatives.

Prerequisites for Success in This Role

  • Experience in inventory management, supply chain, materials coordination, logistics or procurement within mining or another operational industry.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, replenishment planning, inventory control and supply chain processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse inventory and usage data, identify risks and implement practical solutions.
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.

The successful applicant must have valid Australian working rights.

Your Work Environment

This is a permanent, Perth-based hybrid role supporting Newmont's operations across Australia, including Boddington, Tanami and Cadia.

You will work closely with site stakeholders, Warehousing, Procurement, Contracts, Accounts Payable, suppliers and logistics partners to coordinate the supply of critical operational commodities. Reporting to the Team Lead, Inventory Management & Logistics (Australia), you'll be part of a collaborative Supply Chain team focused on inventory optimisation, risk reduction and operational reliability. Occasional site and supplier travel may be required.

Why Join Newmont

Working at Newmont's Perth Hub provides the opportunity to contribute to a global business while supporting operations across Australia. You'll be part of a collaborative, professional environment where innovation, partnership and continuous improvement are valued.

Eligible employees may benefit from:

  • Competitive salary and annual performance incentive opportunities.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements, where operationally appropriate.
  • Access to health, wellbeing and employee assistance programs.
  • Ongoing learning, technical development and leadership training opportunities.
  • Exposure to diverse projects, stakeholders and operations across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and global subject matter experts.
  • Career pathways across Newmont's Australian, Papua New Guinean and global operations.
  • The opportunity to be part of a workplace where safety, inclusion and growth are at the centre of everything we do.
