Job Purpose

To ensure compliance with applicable EHS laws, regulations, company policies, and pharmaceutical industry standards, while promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace and preventing accidents, occupational illnesses, and environmental incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the company's EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Responsible of handling ETP
• Ensure compliance with applicable Factories Act, Environment Protection regulations, hazardous waste requirements, fire-safety requirements, and other statutory obligations.
• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections, EHS audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals, solvents, pharmaceutical waste, and hazardous waste.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, unsafe acts/conditions, and prepare investigation reports with root-cause analysis.
• Conduct EHS training, toolbox talks, safety induction, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Monitor fire prevention and emergency preparedness, including mock drills and emergency response systems.
• Coordinate with the Fire & Safety, Engineering, Production, Quality, HR, and Security departments on EHS matters.
• Monitor environmental parameters such as air emissions, effluent, wastewater, hazardous waste, noise, and water consumption, as applicable.
• Maintain EHS records, registers, inspection reports, training records, incident reports, and statutory documentation.
• Support preparation for regulatory inspections, customer audits, corporate EHS audits.
• Drive initiatives to reduce accidents, unsafe conditions, waste generation, emissions, and environmental impact.
