What they need
- Safely unload tanker trucks and railcars into designated storage tanks.
- Operate transfer pumps, valves, hoses, and associated unloading equipment.
- Understand pump operation, product flow, pressure, and transfer procedures.
- Verify incoming products and ensure transfers are made to the correct storage tanks.
- Perform pre-transfer and post-transfer inspections of equipment and connections.
- Monitor transfer operations to prevent spills, leaks, contamination, or overfills.
- Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation accurately.
- Inspect pumps, hoses, valves, and unloading equipment for proper operation.
- Follow all OSHA, DOT, EPA, company, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe unloading area.
- Report equipment issues, leaks, spills, or unsafe conditions immediately.
