Offset Polar Cutter Operator

About the role

You will set up, program, and operate automated Polar paper cutters to trim printed materials to precise dimensions. You will ensure high-quality finishing, minimize paper waste, and help maintain steady post-press workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Program, calibrate, and operate Polar paper cutting machinery based on job ticket specifications
• Load, jog, counter-balance, and align heavy stacks of paper safely to ensure perfectly square cuts
• Perform strict, continuous measurements to ensure cutting accuracy and cross-reference output with job layouts
• Execute routine operator-level maintenance, including blade adjustments, blade changes, and troubleshooting errors

About you

• 2+ years of hands-on experience operating programmatic Polar cutters in an offset or commercial print environment
• Strong blueprint/layout reading skills and math proficiency (working with millimeters, centimeters, and inches)
• Ability to lift, push, and maneuver heavy stacks of paper throughout a full shift
• Exceptional eye for detail and commitment to workplace safety protocols
