We are currently recruiting an Offshore Installation Superintendent on behalf of an international client.

The purpose of the Offshore Installation Superintendent for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of offshore installation activities. The Offshore Installation Superintendent manages all aspects of the offshore facility, including personnel, safety, maintenance, and operations ensuring proper coordination of all interfaces among different packages to guarantee the installation campaign readiness. The role involves direct coordination of offshore teams to ensure that operations meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead and supervise offshore teams, including engineers, technicians, and other personnel;
• Ensure effective communication across all departments to facilitate smooth operations;
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations;
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement;
• Assists Project Management with planning, procedure review and technical support of execution matters;
• Acts as the focal point between CPY’s Production Operation and the Contractor Operation Manager during field execution, particularly for SIMOPS and PTW process management;
• Stewards in the management of change process;
• Oversee daily installation activities;
• Ensure that progress targets are met while maintaining operational efficiency;
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the offshore campaign, ensuring optimization of resources and equipment;
• Respond to operational emergencies and make quick decisions to mitigate risks;
• Ensure all safety procedures, risk assessments, and emergency response plans are regularly reviewed and implemented;
• Ensures that any events evaluated during HAZID/HIRA processes, or that are raised during safety meetings, are stewarded, and closed prior to the start of each critical scope;

Knowledge and/or Experience:

• 15 years minimum marine construction experience;
• 10 years minimum subsea ultra- deepwater offshore installation experience;
• 5 years minimum offshore pipelay and heavy lift vessel supervisory experience;
• Good knowledge and understanding of marine activities involving DP3 Pipelay Vessel, DP3 Heavy Subsea Construction Vessels DP2 MSVs;
• Fluent knowledge of English; Good knowledge of Portuguese (preferred);
• Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities;
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure;
• Solid understanding of HSE regulations and the ability to implement and enforce them effectively;
• Knowledge of transportation methods, shipping methodologies, inspection methodologies;
• Specific knowledge of product/goods categories;
