OHS Coordinator - Part Time

Permanent part-time opportunity

We’re partnering with an established food manufacturing business to recruit a hands-on OHS Coordinator to support safety, compliance and continuous improvement across its site.

Reporting to the Production Manager, this role will suit someone who enjoys working alongside operational teams, improving safety processes and coaching leaders to build a stronger safety culture.

The Role

• Coordinate safety audits and ensure the site remains audit-ready.
• Review and update safety procedures, processes and SOPs.
• Coach and mentor operational leaders to build safety capability and accountability.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training across the site.
• Ensure compliance with relevant WHS/OHS legislation.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and safety practices.
• Support the introduction of AI tools and initiatives to improve safety processes.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a safety role within food manufacturing
• Sound understanding of WHS/OHS legislation and safety compliance.
• Experience with safety auditing and maintaining audit readiness.
• Ability to review processes and implement practical improvements.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to coach and mentor leaders.
• A hands-on, pragmatic approach and the ability to adapt in a changing environment.

We’re looking for someone who can go beyond compliance, work closely with the operation and help embed safety into everyday practices.
