Omni Analytics Platform Engineer

Seeking a hands-on BI Platform Engineer to lead our Omni Analytics environment, focused on data modeling, embedded dashboards, scalability, and Databricks integration.

This is a 6-month contract to hire position

Key Responsibilities

• Own and administer the Omni platform, including security, governance, performance, and production support.
• Design and optimize scalable semantic data models and topics within Omni.
• Build and support embedded dashboards with multi-tenant security, SSO, and customer-facing analytics.
• Partner with Databricks teams to optimize SQL performance, data models, and analytics architecture.
• Develop monitoring, performance tuning, and scalability strategies to support growing user adoption.
• Establish best practices for data modeling, dashboard development, and BI platform operations.

Required Skills

• Omni Analytics, Looker, or similar semantic-layer BI platforms.
• Strong data modeling experience (dimensional, relational, semantic layer design).
• Embedded analytics and customer-facing dashboard experience.
• Advanced SQL and query optimization.
• Databricks, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and Medallion architecture.
• Multi-tenant security, row-level security, SSO/SAML.
• BI platform scalability, monitoring, and performance tuning.

Ideal Background Experience owning a modern BI platform, building reusable data models, and delivering scalable embedded analytics solutions in a SaaS environment. Direct Omni experience is highly preferred.
