On-call Driver

About the role

We are seeking an On-call Driver to join the team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Tagumpay, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. As an On-call Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics and courier operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods and services to our clients. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction in the couriers, drivers and postal services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Operate vehicles safely and efficiently whilst adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
• Pick up and deliver packages and goods to designated locations in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage and vehicle condition
• Respond promptly to on-call requests and adjust schedules as needed
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues
• Provide excellent customer service to recipients and handle inquiries professionally
• Ensure packages are loaded securely and transported safely to prevent damage
• Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding route updates and delivery status
• Comply with all safety regulations and company protocols

What we're looking for

• Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles you will be operating
• Proven experience as a driver or in a similar transportation role
• Strong knowledge of local roads and routes in Puerto Princesa City and surrounding areas
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to on-call scheduling requirements
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physical ability to load, unload and handle packages
• Reliability and punctuality
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting is advantageous
• Experience in courier or logistics services is preferred
