On-Call Installation Technician - Contractor Position

Overview Brief Description The GBS Group, an engineering services and consulting firm, is seeking an PRN Installation Technician to support our growing technology business in Boston, Massachusetts. The GBS Group is a commercial and government engineering services firm with a variety of contract types. This position will focus on our commercial business seeking independent contractors to be available on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Drilling through stainless steel brackets for mounting of components
• Disassembling and reassembling vehicle’s exterior body parts and interior panels
• Properly mounting and securing components to vehicles
• Routing wires and cabling into vehicles
• Documenting all work completed on work orders accurately
• Maintaining a clean, organized and safe working area

Qualifications Candidates must possess the following professional experience and qualifications:

• Familiarity with mechanical installation work, including drilling and mounting of components
• Must have a proficiency using basic hand and power tool
• Must be flexible enough for periodic travel and stay overnight when required
• Must be able to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test and have a clean driver’s record.
