On call Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
• Support patient transfer methods using proper manual handling techniques and medical equipment to ensure safety for patients and staff.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality while documenting care activities in health records with precision and timeliness.
• Follow infection control protocols diligently to prevent hospital-acquired infections and promote a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address needs promptly.

Requirements

• Must be available on call and work at least 7 shifts per pay period. Prior experience in CBRF setting required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, patient safety standards, and infection control practices.
• Nursing Assistant certification does not have to be active. CBRF certifications required.
• Ability to perform manual handling of patients using proper techniques and operate medical equipment safely.
• Strong communication skills for effective caregiver interactions and teamwork within fast-paced hospital environments.
• Flexibility to work on an on-call basis across various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
