On Call Resource Navigator

Position Summary:

The On Call Resource Navigator reports to the Operations Manager and provides as-needed support for shelter operations and resource navigation services. This position helps maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for guests while connecting individuals experiencing homelessness with appropriate community resources and services.

On call employees provide coverage based on organizational staffing needs, including filling vacant shifts, supporting scheduled staff coverage, and assisting during periods of increased operational demand. Work hours are scheduled on an as-needed basis and are not guaranteed. The position requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to respond to changing shelter needs while upholding Advance Pathways’ mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide resource navigation, connecting guests to housing, mental health, and substance use services.
• Support guests in identifying goals and overcoming barriers to stability.
• Respond to crises using trauma-informed approaches.
• Monitor the facility to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
• Complete regular walkthroughs of the property.
• Assist with shelter operations, including setting up and cleaning tables, chairs, and cots.
• Complete documentation and maintain accurate records in HMIS.
• Answer phone calls and direct guests to appropriate resources.
• Participate in team meetings and maintain professional communication.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of guest and organizational information.
• Light housekeeping duties.
• Accept and respond to on call shift assignments based on availability and operational needs, following established scheduling and call-out procedures.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with HMIS or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred
• Conflict resolution and trauma-informed care experience
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to pass a Colorado Bureau of Investigation background check
• Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness preferred
• Demonstrates dependability, flexibility, and professionalism when accepting and completing assigned shifts.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds

• Must maintain a drug-free status and be willing to submit to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with organizational policy and applicable law.

 Benefits

• Compensation dependent on experience, beginning at $22/hour
• Sick time is accrued at a rate of 1 hour per every 30 hours worked

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 29.0 per week
