Job Description General Scope of Duties

Work on an on-call basis to assistant the Theater Services Department in staging performances, lectures and film screenings.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform miscellaneous duties including stagehand, assisting with sets, lighting, sound, video, rigging, wardrobe, etc.
• Provide work direction to student workers as necessary
• Follow and enforce department standards for safety

Education and Skills

• Technical theater experience that provides the knowledge to perform listed duties
• Weekend and night work required
• Must be able to carry 50lbs safely.
• Must be able to set up and climb ladders to at least 16 ft.
• Knowledge of carpentry, welding, rigging, electrical wiring and general duties needed to stage productions
• Ability to interact well with a variety of people from all aspects of the college and community
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized, able to work under pressure, plan and accomplish goals
