On-Site Handyman

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on On-Site Handyman to assist with the general maintenance, upkeep, and day-to-day operations of our property in Orland, Maine.

This is a work-for-rent opportunity that includes on-site housing in exchange for an agreed-upon scope of maintenance responsibilities, along with additional wages for work performed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values a stable living arrangement, and takes pride in maintaining a property.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable handling a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general property maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.
• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other handyman tasks within their qualifications.
• Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping, yard work, and seasonal cleanup.
• Identify and address maintenance issues as they arise.
• Assist with routine property inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized.
• Coordinate with management regarding larger repairs or projects requiring outside contractors.

Qualifications

• Previous handyman, maintenance, or general repair experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and general property maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities.
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable with physical work and outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Compensation & Housing

• On-site housing provided as part of a work-for-rent arrangement.
• Additional wages paid for maintenance and handyman work.
• Housing details, work expectations, and wage arrangements will be discussed during the interview process.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
