Position Overview

In The Event (ITE) is looking for a dependable, customer-focused On-Site Hotel AV Support Technician to provide audiovisual support at a hotel property in the Alta area.

This is a part-time, on-site position supporting meetings, conferences, and hotel events. AV equipment is already located and stored on property.

The ideal candidate has basic AV knowledge, is comfortable working independently, and enjoys interacting with hotel staff and guests. When the hotel event schedule is lighter, there may also be opportunities to pick up additional hours at ITE’s main warehouse in the Salt Lake City area, assisting with event preparation, AV equipment, warehouse operations, and other event-related needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and strike basic AV equipment for hotel meetings and events
• Support microphones, speakers, projectors, displays, laptops, presentation systems, and other standard meeting AV equipment
• Perform basic troubleshooting when AV issues arise
• Test equipment prior to events to ensure everything is working properly
• Assist hotel staff and clients with basic AV questions and needs
• Maintain organized AV equipment and on-site storage/work areas
• Communicate equipment issues, damage, or additional needs to the ITE team
• Provide professional and friendly on-site customer service
• Coordinate with ITE when additional equipment, technical support, or event staffing is required

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of audiovisual equipment and event technology preferred
• Previous AV, hospitality, event, or technical support experience is a plus
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of on-site AV needs
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Able to troubleshoot basic technical issues
• Comfortable lifting and moving standard AV equipment
• Reliable transportation to the Alta area

Position Details

Hours will vary depending on the hotel's meeting and event schedule and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Potential for growth and additional properties.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys AV and live events but is looking for a smaller, hospitality-focused environment rather than large-scale event production.

Looking for more hours? When the hotel schedule is slow, additional work may be available at ITE’s main warehouse in the Salt Lake City area. These hours will depend on ITE’s event and staffing needs and are not guaranteed.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
