Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of one-year-olds.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
• Follow all health guidelines including pediatric first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance and safety.
• Support children in developing basic self-help skills such as feeding, dressing, and hygiene routines.
• Collaborate with team members to create individualized care plans that address each child's unique needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare centers or preschool settings is highly preferred.
• Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and pediatric first aid is required.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering positive interactions among children.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and children alike.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
• Familiarity with daycare regulations, mandated reporting laws, and child supervision standards.
