Online Personal Shopper

About the role

We run client rewards, appreciation gifts, and occasional private shopping for high-net-worth individuals. You will source, purchase, wrap or present, and track gifts and personal items with discretion.

This is not Instacart, not store order-filling, and not a commission floor job at a department store. You are shopping against a brief: budget, brand level, occasion, and the recipient’s taste.

What you will handle

Corporate / client rewards

• Client and partner thank-you gifts
• Holiday and milestone gifts
• Welcome / closing / referral gifts
• Curated gift baskets, gourmet, wellness, home, and experience-style items
• Store pickup of pre-selected items and online order coordination
• Card messages, wrapping, and delivery or ship-ready packaging
• Simple tracking: who received what, when, and at what cost

Private shopping (select clients)

• Personal purchases from a written brief (clothing basics, accessories, home, specialty foods, gifts)
• Sourcing options at a given price point and presenting 2–3 choices with photos before buying
• Returns, exchanges, and alterations drop-off when needed
• Discreet delivery to home or office

Responsibilities

• Work from a brief: budget, brands to use / avoid, occasion, and deadline
• Shop in person at retailers appropriate to the client (not only big-box)
• Compare options and stay on budget
• Text or email photos and a short recommendation before buying anything
• Keep itemized receipts and a clean log (recipient, date, vendor, amount, tracking)
• Protect all names, addresses, and purchase details — NDA required
• Never discuss clients, gifts, or households on social media
• Handle company cards or reimbursements exactly as instructed

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, smartphone
• Polished written communication (you will text/email clients or the office)
• Strong taste and judgment for gifts
• Comfortable in department stores, specialty shops, and luxury-adjacent retail
• Punctual, discreet, and detail-oriented
• Pass a background check and sign an NDA
• Prior work in retail, luxury sales, personal assisting, corporate gifting, styling, or household support preferred

Nice to have

• Experience buying for executives, UHNW/HNW households, or corporate clients
• Ability to wrap, pack, and write a short gift note that does not sound generic

This role is NOT

• Grocery order picking
• App-based gig shopping
• A “go viral on TikTok” styling job
• Live-in household staff

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
