What they need

Imagine This

An alert hits your ticketing queue: a laundromat reports an underperforming dryer and a new bank of washers ready for install. You arrive on site, walk the owner through the plan, update the wiring connections for single‑phase power, level the machines, run test cycles, and then pinpoint a mechanical issue in the dryer. You place a parts order, document the job, and train the team on optimal operation—leaving the store quieter, safer, and more efficient than when you arrived.

The Company Behind You

Alliance Laundry Systems Distribution is the go-to, full-service resource for commercial and industrial laundry. We install and service trusted brands—Speed Queen®, UniMac®, and Huebsch®—and provide genuine parts, site selection, financing, and store design. Our customers span independent laundromat owners, Speed Queen franchisees, and on-premises laundry managers looking to elevate performance and control costs.

Your Core Impact

  • Install, configure, and validate operation of commercial laundry equipment to strict quality and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and correct electrical and mechanical faults; test thoroughly post-repair.
  • Deliver clear findings and hands-on instruction to customers after service or installation.
  • Execute preventive maintenance; determine whether to repair or replace components and initiate parts orders.
  • Disassemble/reassemble equipment to complete maintenance or complex repairs.
  • Research, order, and track parts; confirm alignment with work orders and timelines to meet deadlines.
  • Create precise service notes and summaries; submit accurate expense reports.
  • Keep your assigned vehicle’s inventory organized and accounted for.
  • Travel throughout the territory for scheduled installs, troubleshooting, and urgent calls assigned by the Service Manager.
  • Flag high-priority issues to the Service Manager and recommend process improvements.
  • Pitch in on additional tasks that keep the department running smoothly.

Background & Capabilities

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: 3+ years repairing commercial, military, industrial, or manufacturing equipment (or an equivalent mix of training and experience).
  • Required: familiarity with single‑phase electrical power.
  • Preferred: experience supporting customers through phone and email/ticketing workflows.

Strengths You’ll Use Daily

  • Mechanically inclined with proven troubleshooting skill; interpret electrical/mechanical drawings with confidence.
  • Highly organized, detail-conscious; able to self-manage multiple jobs and due dates.
  • Professional communicator—clear, courteous, and effective in writing and in person.
  • Comfort with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred).
  • Resilient through change; proactive, persistent work ethic.

Travel & Physical Expectations

  • Territory-based travel with some overnight stays.
  • Regular activities include sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending, climbing, and fine motor work.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; heavier lifts supported by assistive devices.
  • Role requires frequent talking/hearing and computer-based tasks with close vision and focus adjustments.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record required; company vehicle may be provided.
