Onshore Data Processor

As a multibeam echosounder (MBES) Data Processor at BMS Offshore, you play a key role in the execution of survey scopes.

You are responsible for the processing, quality control and management of MBES datasets, ensuring the delivery of accurate and reliable survey results. Your role supports both offshore and onshore survey operations, including calibration activities and technical reporting.

We welcome applications from both experienced data processors and motivated candidates looking to further develop their MBES data processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Review or process MBES data acquired during offshore survey campaigns.
• Prepare survey deliverables in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
• Conduct quality control of survey datasets prior to client submission.
• Identify any inconsistency in datasets.
• Support offshore survey teams with sensor calibration, patch test assessment, processing and troubleshooting.
• Support onshore reporting teams and assist with CAD and GIS tasks.

Must Have

• Degree or equivalent experience in:
• o Hydrography
• o Geomatics
• o Geoscience/Geology
• o Oceanography
• o Survey Engineering
• Experience in MBES calibration, acquisition, processing and reporting.
• Working knowledge of:
• o QPS Qimera (preferably) or BeamWorx AutoClean
• o Equivalent MBES processing software
• Understanding of hydrographic survey principles, data formats
• Fluent in English

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GIS and/or CAD software’s.
• Previous offshore experience and ability to support vessel mobilizations.
• Processing of additional acoustic datasets.
